One Of Those Compare and Contrast Things

Obama’s message last Father’s Day:

“I wanted to take a moment to talk about the most important job many of us will ever have – and that’s being a dad.”
*****

“I try every day to be for Michelle and my girls what my father was not for my mother and me,” he says. And I’ve met plenty of other people – dads and uncles and men without a family connection – who are trying to break the cycle and give more of our young people a strong male role model.”
****
“Being a good parent – whether you’re gay or straight; a foster parent or a grandparent – isn’t easy. It demands your constant attention, frequent sacrifice, and a healthy dose of patience. And nobody’s perfect. To this day, I’m still figuring out how to be a better husband to my wife and father to my kids.”

Now contrast that with the fact that the Obamas planned their summer “family” vacation while their daughters were away at camp for all but the last four days of their stay, and Obama played golf 2 of those four days.

President Obama Sunday played golf yet again, bringing his tally to six outings during a total of seven full days he was on Martha’s Vineyard.

Obama and his family ended their vacation Sunday night, opting for a late checkout from their vacation rental home and not getting back to the White House until 11:00 pm.

Obama did little on vacation other than play golf. After his daughters arrived Thursday he spent one morning biking and and another at the beach, but other than that he was on the golf course.

He can do what he wants. But let’s stop with the bullshit; lionizing every aspect of his life. No one ever holds him accountable for what he says.

Just words. Remember this?
