Second verse, same as the first

I find it rather … ironic/disgusting/self-centered that the man who’s barely/rarely attended church in the last four years is going to church today. Obama’s schedule for today:

8:45 am || Attends church; St. John’s Episcopal Church; Washington
10:35 am || Departs White House
11:20 am || Is sworn in as president; West Front of the U.S. Capitol Building
11:50 am || Delivers inaugural address
1:05 pm || Attends the inaugural luncheon
2:40 pm || Participates in the inaugural parade
3:45 pm || Reviews the inaugural parade from presidential reviewing stand in front of the White House
8:45 pm || Attends the Commander-in-Chief’s Inaugural Ball; Walter E. Washington Convention Center; Washington
9:10 pm || Attends the Inaugural Ball; Walter E. Washington Convention Center

But today, HIS day, he finds time for the Lord.

I won’t be watching the spectacle today- I’ll be bringing people food because Obama’s done such a wiz-bang job with the economy.

As the anointed one sits in church this morning, awaiting the Lord’s blessing, he should ponderhe should think about this. But he won’t.

Mr. Obama has managed to skirt responsibility for anemic growth by claiming that it is the fault of George W. Bush and everyone before that. His solution is always more public spending without end. The political statute of limitations on this excuse will eventually run out.

But more substantively, what about the middle-class he claims to champion? In December, the number of unemployed was 12.2 million and the jobless rate was 7.8%, still higher than when he took office. The youth jobless rate was nearly 11%, while for blacks it was 14% and for Hispanics 9.6%.

He’s had 2% growth throughout his presidency. That glowing legacy the history writers are probably already crafting is going to need a lot of creative fiction.

Ironically, Juan Williams writes:

Four years ago on this page, when Barack Obama took his oath of office, I celebrated the amazing reality of a black president but wrote: “No president of any color should be given a free pass for screw-ups, lies or failure to keep a promise.”

Fortunately, Juan has a sawhorse to save him:

It is difficult to quantify, but one factor for anyone judging Mr. Obama is race. The biggest bloc of voters opposed to the president are older white men. He lost 57% of the white vote in 2008 and 60% in 2012. Meanwhile, he won over 90% of black voters in both elections.

Whites may judge Obama poorly because they’re racist. The proof is in the puddling -just look at how popular he is with blacks!!

Typically, Mr. Obama avoids the issue the way Superman avoided kryptonite. He makes the point that he is not “the black president” but the president of all Americans. But when it comes to judging his place in American history, it is impossible not to address his minority status. The first blacks in any field, much like the first women, are always held to strict standards.

Did he just REALLY write that? Ok, I’m done. My head just assploded.

I need a little music to calm me down.

It won’t be the same, it’ll be worse. MUCH WORSE. It will not end well.

  2. It’s an Episcopal church, Carin. The only “lord” there will be Lord Zero himself.

Today we have a remix of fairy-tale about the Emperor’s new clothes. There is a difference, WE “old white men” are the pure in heart child who sees the nekkid idiot parading around and dares to speak out about it.

  4. agiledog Says:

Too bad, Cathy, that the only ones who can hear us are other “old white men”. Everybody else (especially the media) is sticking their fingers in their ears and intoning “na na na na”.

  5. Cathy Says:

Mark Levin just went nuts on his radio broadcast in the opening monologue.

  6. MJ Says:

Only 10% of blacks and less than 30% of hispanics voted for Romney most likely because of race.

See how stupid this is? By the numbers, whites are actually the least racist. Duh.
