This is Obama’s fault.

Petty Officer Checque becomes the 2,165th American to die since then and the 391st to perish in the 345 days of 2012 so far. Sadly, there will be more, likely many more.

To meet the perceived political demands of this election year, Obama reduced the roughly 100,000 U.S. contingent by 30,000. They and their families are no doubt happy to be gone from that hellhole of a tribal land that has never been tamed in history, except regionally by warlords.

But that expedient Obama withdrawal, against the advice of his generals, leaves 30,000 fewer Americans to protect the others. The circles of safety and security are getting fewer and smaller, making it actually more dangerous as the end of allied involvement in 2014 nears and the Taliban seeps back in.

And for his sacrifice, his family gets-

President Obama issued one of the obligatory “thoughts and prayers go out” statements that seems to occur way too often in recent years:

“Yesterday, our special operators in Afghanistan rescued an American citizen in a mission that was characteristic of the extraordinary courage, skill and patriotism that our troops show every day. Tragically, we lost one of our special operators in this effort. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, just as we must always honor our troops and military families.”

And in a few short days he’s going to jet off to Hawaii for three weeks, while the country flounders. Good – the best – men are dying in the middle east because they don’t have the resources and support they need. Pull them ALL OUT, or enable them to succeed. But Obama doesn’t really care about those men over there. He uses them as pawns when it’s helpful, but otherwise he doesn’t give a shit.

Worst president ever.

Bush stopped golfing because it looked bad while men were dying. Obama only stopped golfing because it looked bad while he was trying to get re-elected. Now that he’s safely back in office, he’s back on the fairways: been golfing every weekend so far!
