I forgot my pen

The problem with Obama, which extends out to his sycophants, is that he believes his own bullshit. Rich Lowry calls it his Adoration Bubble. It explains why Obama can give a speech without even mildly amusing lines, and have the audience roaring with laughter. As when Obama spoke about Romney following the first debate at the Bill Graham Auditorium;

“So a few weeks ago, you can start seeing he’s figuring out, well, this isn’t maybe selling that well. (Laughter.) And then, a few nights ago — (laughter) — suddenly a guy pretending to be Mitt Romney stood on a stage next to me — (laughter and applause) — and said he’s changing his plan. He is just going to pretend it doesn’t exist. What $5 trillion tax cut? (Laughter.) I don’t know anything about a $5 trillion tax cut. Don’t pay attention to that tax cut behind the curtain. (Laughter.) During the debate he said, ‘There is no economist who can say Mitt Romney’s tax plan adds $5 trillion to the deficit if I say I will not add to the deficit with my tax plan.’ (Laughter.)”

People want to like him, and clearly Obama is amused when he speaks these lines, so the audience indulges him with their laughter. They want to laugh.

They want to believe.

But beyond the true believers, Obama has failed to convince anyone of anything.

Related (in that this entire post is about how Obama sucks), Thomas Sowell on Obama’s football spiking of Osama’s death:

Osama bin Laden was by no means the first man to plan a surprise attack on America and later be killed. Japan’s Admiral Yamamoto planned the attack on Pearl Harbor that brought the United States into World War II, and he was later tracked down and shot down in a plane that was carrying him.

Nobody tried to depict President Franklin D. Roosevelt as some kind of hero for having simply authorized the killing of Yamamoto. In that case, the only hero who was publicized was the man who shot down the plane that Yamamoto was in.

Yet the killing of Osama bin Laden has been depicted as some kind of act of courage by President Obama. After bin Laden was located, why would any President not give the go-ahead to get him?

That took no courage at all.

I think this Sowell fella is a racist.
