There it is. His entire week. ONE day of “work” work, the rest of the week he was campaigning and fundraising.

It follows, of course, that he couldn’t meet with the Israeli Prime Minister (or any other world leader). Obama’s supposedly gonna ring Bibi up today, though. So, just as good, right?

Thomas Sowell:

During the same week when the American ambassador to Libya was murdered and his dead body dragged through the streets by celebrating mobs, the president of the United States found time to go on the David Letterman show to demonstrate his sense of humor and how cool he is.

But Barack Obama did not have time to meet with Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the leader of a nation repeatedly threatened with annihilation by Iranian leaders who are working feverishly toward the creation of nuclear bombs.

This was an extraordinary thing in itself, something that probably no other president of the United States could have gotten away with without raising a firestorm of criticisms and denunciations. But much of the media sees no evil, hears no evil, and speaks no evil when it comes to Barack Obama — especially during an election year.

No one says “boo”. But, he has time to do all the fun stuff:

Obama this week met with exactly zero world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly, not least of them Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who wants to stop Iran from redecorating Jerusalem and Tel Aviv with mushroom clouds. Obama found time, however, to serve as “eye candy” for Whoopi Goldberg and the cast of The View.

Obama has shirked his domestic obligations, too. He reportedly has held just two Cabinet meetings this year — on January 31 and July 26. While claiming to be totally focused on reducing naggingly high unemployment, Obama has not met with his Jobs Council since January. White House press secretary Jay Carney explained, “The president’s obviously got a lot on his plate.” This has included a $38,000-per-plate fundraiser at the Manhattan home of actress Sarah Jessica Parker and golf, of which Obama has enjoyed some 104 rounds as president.

And, yesterday it came out that our second quarter GDP has been revised down, from a bad 1.7%, to miserable 1.3%. Meanwhile, Obama probably received the news in between campaign stops of telling folks he needs a second term. WSJ:

Mr. Obama is running for re-election trying to convince Americans that an economy limping at less than 2% growth, 8% unemployment, real incomes down 5.7% since the recovery began, and deficits of more than $1 trillion is the best we could achieve. We liked it better when he stood for hope and change.

The SCOAMF needs to go.

  1. The only work he does is to advance himself. It will be a fascinating study to watch him after he leaves office.

  2. Vmaximus Says:

So show up to work at 9:30 or 10 knock off at 2:30 unless you are campaigning well even when campaigning I guess. Nice job I wish I had it.
