Ripped from the Headlines
‘WAIT FOR WHAT? WAIT UNTIL WHEN?’
USA and Israel in open feud…
White House declines Netanyahu request to meet with Obama…
Announces ‘Letterman’ Appearance…
Can’t meet with Netanyah, but he’s got time for Letterman.
The president will chat with the “Late Show” host during a trip to New York City next week, according to the National Journal. Letterman’s nightly monologues mostly spare the president from satirical ribbing, saving his most cutting remarks for the Romneys … or even former President George W. Bush.
The news comes on the same day Obama told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu he couldn’t meet with him due to a scheduling conflict.
He’s also got time for Vegas today:
On the day after the U.S. Ambassador to Libya and three other Americans were killed in Benghazi, the White House on Wednesday morning released a schedule showing that President Obama would continue with his planned campaign trip to Las Vegas.
After all, what’s more important?
Obama simply will NOT be in New York when Netanyahu arrives:
The White House National Security Council Spokesman Tommy Vietor told Haaretz the two would not meet due to a scheduling conflict. “The President arrives in New York for the UN on Monday, September 24th and departs on Tuesday, September 25th. The Prime Minister doesn’t arrive in New York until later in the week. They’re simply not in the city at the same time.”
You see the problem? Scheduling conflict. He can’t possibly get to New York. Because he simply won’t BE in New York at the time. Duh.
Obama’s schedule today:
Receives the Presidential Daily Briefing

5:25 pm PT || Delivers remarks at a campaign event; Cashman Center; Las Vegas

Weird. Huh? He seems to be able to get around the country a lot.
