Why are you so interested in my Vagina?
Lamest closing line EVER. I don’t think anyone is interested in Lisa Brown’s vagina. But, their free speech was VIOLATED.
Michigan’s Republican Majority Floor Leader Jim Stamas banned Brown, along with Rep. Barb Byrum, also a Democrat, from speaking Thursday for violating the decorum of the House.
Byrum wanted to introduce an amendment to House Bill 5711 that would ban men from getting a vasectomy unless it was necessary to save a man’s life. Sort of putting the shoe on the other foot.
@@. Lisa Brown already “spoke” – what was limited was the ability for them to carry on with their stupidity.
Goldy mentioned this in morning news, but it bears repeating: Watch the video below of Michigan state Rep. Lisa Brown (D, naturally) being censured for saying “vagina” at the end of a smart floor speech that criticized a pro-Christian, anti-choice bill that would ban abortions after 20 weeks unless the woman’s life was in danger.
A “smart” floor speech? OMG. That is a smart speech? We’re being ruled by complete idiots and morons.
This entire vagina kerfuffle is nothing but political theater:
Right to Life of Michigan’s Ed Rivet said he, too, has no interest in talking about the Brown controversy, which he labeled a “tempest in a teapot … created by the media.”
“I’m talking about the substance of the bills. We’re talking about unlicensed clinics, dumping dead babies in Dumpsters and Internet abortions. You can go over to the Capitol (Monday night) for the other stuff.”
Rep. Lesia Liss, D-Warren, one of six Democrats who voted for the legislation, said the reaction by opponents to Republican leaders’ decision to sanction Brown and Rep. Barb Byrum, D-Onondaga, after Thursday’s debate “isn’t about the legislation. The Democratic Party is using the ‘war on women’ to try to get women to vote; it’s a political ploy.”
And women are just stupid enough to fall for it.
The abortion debate is not a political debate. It is a spiritual one. The decision to have sex is between a woman and a man. The decision to have an abortion is between women and God. So after talking to Fox, who saw so many deaths, I cannot help but wonder why so many men — and some women — are trying to play God.
Is the idea of American men forcing women to have babies so different from Muslim men telling women how to live?
Vagina vagina vagina.
Let’s do a quick review of this abortion bill which will send women back into the dark ages, where they won’t be allowed to say the word vagina
The bill approved Wednesday would add insurance and licensing requirements that pro-abortion rights groups say would close some clinics and result in higher fees at others. Some physicians performing abortions would be required to carry $1 million in liability insurance, if they have lost multiple civil lawsuits.
Anti-abortion groups say those measures would make sure that clinics have health standards that will help protect women.
Other provisions included in the legislative package would make it a crime to coerce a woman into having an abortion, guide the disposition of fetal remains and prohibit the use of the RU-486 pill through a webcam consultation
One of the provisions in the package would ban abortions after 20 weeks except in cases where one is determined necessary to save a pregnant women’s life. That provision was not in the bill voted on Wednesday.
Those … BASTARDS.
The saddest thing about this issue is that women cannot even talk about it with a modicum of intelligence. Just read the comments from that last linked piece; it is everything you’ve heard before. WAR ON WOMEN. Anti- choice. Control. Hysteria.
Opponents say that the regulations in the bill would regulate the abortion business into oblivion:
The legislation requires health centers that perform more than six abortions a month to be equipped with operational surgery rooms, even if they don’t provide surgical abortions. The result: many reproductive health centers will close due to lack of adequate funds.
Are these folks aware of the regulations that EVERY BUSINESS IN THE STATE must adhere to? Regulations that are expensive and unnecessary.
Regardless, the bill says “OUTPATIENT” surgerical rooms. Get the idea of the “House” OR out of your head.
