Tidbits while we wait for the show to start in Wisconsin
“The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public’s money.”
― Alexis de Tocqueville, Democracy in America
“She’s our shot” that year, Pelosi told the San Francisco Chronicle. “Why wouldn’t she run? She’s a magnificent secretary of State.”
Sorry, Nancy, that shot was blown in 2008, when you guys picked Teh One.
But it not just San Fran Nan who thinks Hillary should run, we’ve also got Ed Rendell saying the same thing.
Former DNC Chair Ed Rendell predicts that Hillary Clinton will make another bid for the White House in 2016.
The former Pennsylvania governor acknowledges in his new book, “A Nation of Wusses,” that Clinton herself insists that she has no interest in running, BuzzFeed reports.
“She is bone-tired — the job of secretary of state is far more grueling than that of the president, with the nonstop traveling, the constant jet lag, and the odd-hours phone calls to accommodate foreign officials’ schedules. Still I believe that when she gets some rest and has a chance to reflect on what she wants, the challenges facing the country will be too great for her to resist and she will change her mind,” Rendell penned.
Obama’s got a grueling schedule today:
10:45 am || Receives the Presidential Daily Briefing
11:15 am || Meets with senior advisers
At noon? A nap! He had THREE fundraisers yesterday, so I’m sure he’s tuckered out, and tomorrow he flies out to California for more campaign events.
Poor little man needs his rest.
So, quick review – last Friday – SIX fundraisers, weekend “off”, Monday, three fundraisers, today is rest, tomorrow more fundraisers.
