Michelle’s Publicity Stunt

Last week, Michelle made a quick trip to Target to get a bottle of Lysol in a desperate attempt to undo her Marie Antoinette image. Of course, that didn’t last long… heh:

You know, the Obamas are wealthy people. If they want to eat at places where appetizers start at $16, fine. It would be nice if they set an example during hard economic times and reined in their spending, of course, but whatever.

BUT DEFINITELY DON’T INVITE AP PHOTOGRAPHERS TO TAKE PICTURES OF YOU AT TARGET AND LECTURE ME ABOUT SHARED SACRIFICE AND THEN GO SPEND $300 ON DINNER.

They should have gone to Applebees.

Comments in this article about the First Couple’s dinner explain to the hoi polloi that they simply don’t know what an expensive dinner is. Middle class peasants. Flyover country imbeciles.

You are not being serious where is $150 lavish. It is how much you would pay for a 4 course meal in any good restaurant anywhere. $1000 A HEAD WOULD BE LAVISH BUT NOT $150. ITS TIME TO GET YOUR CLAWS BACK IN DAILYMAIL.HAPPY ANNIVERSARY.

Even I know that 150.00 each for a dinner is peanuts compared to the really wealthy who have their meals flown from restaurants across the country! Not to mention having a private chef for their dogs!!

See? Obama isn’t “wealthy” wealthy. $150 per-plate is a step (or two) above Applebees, apparently, and barely sufficient for an Anniversary. They were practically slumming.

Of course, it’s not as if Obama’s had chefs and food flown in to make pizza, or flys in a personal trainer from Chicago a few times a week, or that they take lavish vacations.

They’re just regular, Target-shopping folk.

It’s true, $150 isn’t that much. That will only buy you 10 pizzas where I work. It would go well with the 7 briskets I could get at Sam’s. They cook down a bit.

  2. Car in Says:

Well, that’s $150 per person, so for a couple that would get you 20 pizza. Maybe some crazy bread??

  3. But they deserve it…you know, because he’s a warrior for the middle class.

  4. Steve B Says:

Well, lettuce just see here. About how many $1,000 a plate fundraisers have Barack or Michelle intended in the last few months, to “raise money.” Raise money for wha?! Underpriviledged kids? The homeless? The unemployed? Nope. For Democrat polical campaigns.

But apparently, that’s not to be considered “lavish.” Cretins.
