These are tough times, unless you’re an aid to the President
How many men (and women) does Obama need to be president? That would be 454. That is how many “aides” he has. For a total cost of $37,121,463 per year.
This info comes from a Friday White House info dump. You know, so (hopefully) no one finds out about it.
Here they all are with their titles and their salaries.
Lowly staff assistants only make $42,000. The “Associate director for scheduling correspondence” makes $41,000. “Coordinators” make $45,000 and there are a gaggle of ’em- Five. The “Director of correspondence for the first lady” makes $50,000. The “special assistant for scheduling and traveling aid to the first lady” makes $60,000. I wonder if she got to go to Africa? Then there is the “Deputy director of scheduling and events coordinator for the first lady” and she makes $66,300. Not to forget the “Deputy director of advance and trip director of the first lady.”
How many people are needed to schedule the first lady’s trips?
Then the first lady has her own press secretary. To do what? She makes $70,000, so I want to see her start earning her keep.
Deputy director of Hispanic media gets $65,000.
The “Director of progressive media and online response” makes more- $72,500. Yea, the Obama administration has a staff member that coordinates with the socialists.
The Native Americans have more pull, and their “senior policy adviser” makes $100,000. As does the “Deputy director for energy and climate change.”
There are a few speechwriters in the $70,000 range. Then a few making $100,000.
Policy advisers for things like the economy and national security make in the $147,000 range and the salaries top out at $172,200, and there’s 21 earning that amount.
