How about those unemployment numbers? But you know, Obama, you just keep tinkering with that shit.

Of course, “unexpectedly”:

The jobless rate, which is obtained from a separate household survey, unexpectedly rose to 9.1% in May from 9.0% in April. There are almost 13.9 million Americans who would like to work but can’t get a job.

Economists surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires had forecast payrolls would rise by 160,000 and the jobless rate would edge lower to 8.9%.

Even though the recession ended two years ago, the pace of economic growth has been too slow to make up for the ground lost following the financial crisis of 2008 and 2009. Recent signs point to more economic weakness ahead. The manufacturing sector, once the driver of the recovery, in May posted its biggest monthly drop since 1984.

Good thing that recession ended two years ago or we’d be in a world of hurt.

This just in, Democrats are socialists:

Just over 70 percent of Democrats believe that wealth should be redistributed by imposing high taxes on the wealthiest Americans, according to a Gallup poll released Thursday. An almost equal percentage of Republicans feel the opposite.

The moochers among the liberal side of America can go fuck themselves.

Of course, soon there will be no wealth to redistribute.

America has always been a land of boom and bust. But Obama and his administration have channeled Hoover and FDR, who turned an ordinary bust into the Great Depression with a toxic strategy of more government, more spending, more debt, more rules and regulations strangling business, higher minimum wages, more power to unions, more entitlements, higher taxes, more printing of money by the Fed, and trade tariffs. This is the Obama blueprint squared.

It’s worse than 1929.

In 1929, we didn’t have-

In 1929, we had far fewer government employees living off taxpayers. Today one out of five federal employees earns over $100,000. California lifeguards and Las Vegas firemen earn $200,000. About 77,000 federal employees earn more than the governors of their states. Government employees retire at age 50 with $100,000 annual pensions for life. The postal service — without competition — loses $8 billion annually. Protected by their unions and the politicians they elect, government employees are bankrupting America. Even FDR said he could not imagine allowing public employees to unionize.

But, read it all as they say, but remove any and all sharp object from your reach before you click.

Now I’m totally depressed, so here’s a vid, sorta brought to you by a buddy from over at the Hostages. It’s the Ukulele Orchestra doing the Kate Bush tune Wuthering Heights (my favorite of her’s). Reminds me of Richard Cheese stuff.

  1. “Unexpectedly” only to the Obama media. Everyone else can see what’s going on. Oh, and just who claimed we had a recovery??

    Yeah, whatever…

So, thanks for the video. That’s my favorite of Kate Bush’s too. I will go get all of her CDs out to drown my sorrow.

70% of democrats lurve them redistributed money from those evil stingy rich people, who made that money off the backs of their workers.

My dad believes that. Says he wants his piece of the pie and I asked him, “Even if you didn’t earn it?” He says,”Yes”. Says he can’t believe that I believe what I believe being raised in a blue collar union family. I say I believe what I see, not what I’m told. If you don’t like what your employer gives or offers you, you can move on. He says the employer SHOULD be responsible for the well being of their employees.

    Round and round we go.

I’m beginning to think that with so many who think the way my family members think, things are going to have to become rubble before we can start to right the ship. If that is possible.

Oh, and that is okay in my dad’s mind. Because if he can’t have it, then you shouldn’t either if you won’t share with him or……..the downtrodden.

The moochers among the liberal side of America can go fuck themselves.

When he wondered how I can think the way I do being raised union, blue collar……um…..he taught me. If I wanted something, I had to go out and get it. Noone was going to give it to me. Even family, especially family, you could not rely on.

Why do you think you’re dad thinks this way? does he feel life has been, somehow, unfair to him?

As he read far to much Charles Dickens?

  5. beasn Says:

Car in, I honestly don’t know. Typical m.o. though, trampy mother who abandoned him, father abandoned him but took good care of his new wife’s daughters, grandparents raised him after being passed around at an early age, but probably made sure to tell him they didn’t appreciate it.
Give him credit that he made sure he fed his kids and didn’t leave my mother regardless the battle ground in their wake. BUT, all that anger and resentment he heaped on us….because of his past or because of us shackles?

  6. beasn Says:

yeah, perhaps life was unfair to him but you would think you wouldn’t want to repeat it. He is blind to what he has made of himself or what he has, compared to what he grew up in. It’s not good enough?

I cut him some slack growing up knowing part of his background, but as an adult, dude, you should have moved on and tried to like your kids. They could have been good allies but he tends to continue the same patterns of mind games and alienation.
