Apocalyptica and the singer from Rammstien do David Bowie’s “Heros”. What more could you want?

Obama’s weekly radio address:

The GOP’s “Pledge to America,” Obama said Saturday during his weekly radio address, promotes “the very same policies that led to the economic crisis in the first place.”

“It is grounded in the same worn-out philosophy: cut taxes for millionaires and billionaires; cut the rules for Wall Street and the special interests; and cut the middle class loose to fend for itself,” Obama said.

“That’s not a prescription for a better future. It’s an echo of a disastrous decade we can’t afford to relive.”

Look, jackhole, someone making $250,001 a year is neither a millionaire nor a billionaire. Your meddling with the banking industry has been disastrous, the summer of recovery never happened, our homes are all underwater, our insurance premiums are going up, and my unborn grandchildren are in debt because you bailed out government worker’s pensions.

And, instead of dealing with the issue of extending the tax cuts, the Senate has decided NOT to vote until after the election. Nancy claims she may have a vote in the House, but insiders say the chances of that happening are slim to none.

Several vulnerable House Democrats would rather debate the issue at home and have more time to campaign, as opposed to remaining in Washington and giving the GOP a chance to frame the tax debate, which traditionally favors Republicans.

These POS want to get back to what they do best. Legislating Campaigning.

While I’ll grant that people earning $250,001 aren’t neccassarily millionaires, they’re more likely to be so than those making less.

Having said that, a million bucks doesn’t go nearly as far as it used to. Even a fairly modest house in parts of SoCal can go for a cool million.

The real point is that Obama just can’t seem to grasp that most people making that kind of money are successful small business owners- the engine of innovation and economic growth in our nation.

Further, this class warfare attack that has long been the bread and butter of the left and populism is losing its bite. We’re getting to where people are far less concerned about how much money their neighbor is making, and far more concerned with how much money their government is taking. And spending.

And that’s not near the beach.

I check real estate ads in Belmont Heights (Long Beach) fairly regularly: free-standing homes start at about $800K and go up to $4 million.
